Adam Sandler Movies


Sandler started, like some of the other actors on this site, on the comedy series “Saturday Night Live”. From there, he transitioned to the film industry and has starred in many funny movies. His early and very popular starring roles was in “Billy Madison”, certainly one of his top romantic comedies. Sandler, not only played the title character, but he also co-wrote the screenplay.

Following that picture, Sandler co-authored the screenplay for his next work, “Happy Gilmore”, in which he also played the title character. This flick was released in 1996. In that same year, Sandler was featured alongside Damon Wayans in the action comedy “Bulletproof”. After that, Sandler starred in the popular comedy and romance film “The Wedding Singer” where he teamed up with Drew Barrymore for the first time. He would later work with her again in another funny romantic flick “50 First Dates”, which is set in Hawaii. 

While Sandler has acted in many funny pictures, not all of them are strictly comedies; some also includes elements of drama, like the 2009 film “Funny People”, or his earlier work “Big Daddy” from 1999. For a straight drama picture, take a look at “Reign Over Me” which was released in 2007, and features Sandler alongside Don Cheadle. And if you would like a more romantic  and dramatic choice, try “Punch-Drunk Love”, where Sandler stars with Emily Watson.

In 2011, Sandler has worked on several films. His first picture was the comedy “Just Go With It” with Jennifer Aniston, which was released in February of 2011. Then in July, Sandler voiced Donald the monkey in the comedic family film “Zookeeper”. And lastly, coming to theatres in November, is another comedy flick, “Jack and Jill”. But in this flick Sandler plays two roles, that of both title characters.
